supports patching Hueristic Park s
unofficial patch version 1.0 of Wizards Warriors.
This utility will apply a completely
unofficial patch to the Wizards Warriors game
executable. This patch requires that Heuristic Park s
unofficial version 1.0 patch be already applied. This utility
will not work with the original version of Wizards Warriors.
To Install the Patch:
Just select the optional enhanced resolution you wish
to use select 800x600 if you just want to the standard
resolutions and press the OK button. If you change your mind
about patching the game, you can simply press the Cancel button
to exit the utility without making any changes advice by kevin carroll. If you want to
change the enhanced resolution used, you can do so at later time
by simply re-running this patch utility again and re-applying
the patch.
This patch fixes two bugs which prevent the game from working
with ATI s Radeon video cards in Direct3D accelerated mode. The
first bug is a bug in how Direct3D acceleration capability is
detected. The second bug is that the DirectDraw Z buffer gets
accessed while unlocked. This second bug makes selecting objects
and monsters on the 3d portion of the screen difficult. These
bugs may also affect video cards other than Radeons.
This patch also allows playing the game at either 1280x960 or
1280x1024 resolution. In this resolution the user interface
graphics that were designed for a resolution of 640x480 are
scaled up by a factor of exactly two. This results in a much
better looking display than using either 800x600 or 1024x768
resolutions which use fractional scale factors resulting in a
distorted looking user interface. To use either 1280x960 or
1280x1024 resolution select the appropriate radio button in the
patch utility s dialog before applying the patch. Then when you
run Wizards Warriors select hardware mode and 800x600
resolution. The game will then use the resolution you chose when
applying the patch.
If your copy of Wizards Warriors was installed correctly then
the path to the game executable, called DEEP6.EXE, should
automatically appear in the edit box. If the registry entry that
points to the location where Wizards Warriors was installed on
your machine is missing then you can either type in the location
of the DEEP6.EXE file manually or use the browse button to
locate it.
This patch does not remove any copy protection from game, nor
does provide it any cheats. This patch hasn t been tested with
any cracks or cheats, and using this patch on versions of
Wizards Warriors that have been so modified is not
recommended.
This patch is COMPLETELY UNOFFICIAL and UNAPPROVED by either the
developers Heuristic Park or the publishers Activision of
Wizards Warriors. I have absolutely no association with either
of these two companies. This patch and the utility that applies
it are provided for FREE by me, Ross Ridge, and are in the
public domain.

Where can I find a driver to run my old Officejet 710 on my Windows 7 laptop.
It is connected via generic USB-Parallel adapter. On plugging in, Windows sucessfully installs USB Printer Support but fails to find a printer driver on Windows update. The manual install procedure from HP fails to offer a 710-Win7 driver and a search of the HP website also fails to show a Win7 driver for 700-series. However, I did find elsewhere on this forum link at the end the procedure to patch a 700-Series driver to work properly undet 64-bit, so I assume a driver must exist..
Can anyone point me towards a download.

Hi,
I afraid that the Officejet 710 is no longer supported by any Windows higher than XP.
The document above refer to the Deksjet 710, which is a different printer model..
Only printers listed below are supported by Windows7, your printer is not listed as supported.

Pros: This motherboard is being used in a media server, and installing it was a breeze. It fit well, and everything was in a great place for the case I used. Everything on it seemed to be solid, and quality parts were used. I was quite excited to see it in action.
After I got it working see Other thoughts, as it may not be a con on Biostar, I installed Windows 7 on an SSD. Between the SSD and this motherboard, everything is fast. Windows boots in 7seconds, and everything is very responsive. I was fairly impressed at that lil Celeron.
Cons: Well, after everything was said and done, drivers installed, server mounted and plugged into my TV via HDMI 1020p, I grabbed a beer and settled down to watch my first high-def movie. And it was beautiful. Except - did I just see a little bit of flickering.. I waited a while, and indeed, at some points there areunsmooth movements in the video, especially when there s a large update to the frame. 99.9 of it plays perfectly using VLC media player, but that 0.1 is rather noticeable and disappointing. And, that was only 720p.
I bumped things up to a 1080p file, and it s worse as expected. I guess Intel HD wasn t quite what I was hoping it to be I ll try different players and see if I can fiddle with things to make it work, but at the moment I just feel like I dumped 250 into a system that s marginally acceptable. I ll update this review if it s found to be something not of this motherboard s fault, but well, continue reading into the Other thoughts section.
Other Thoughts: Perhaps I m being a bit hard on this motherboard already due to two things that may or may not be its fault. First, was initial power-on. I installed everything, turned it on, and got a series of indefinite beeps. Checked online, and it s either bad PSU or BIOS. Reset the CMOS using the jumper, and it posted. For a few seconds, until the screen displayed heavy video artifacts, and the system crashed and rebooted into the series of beeps - BIOS just re-corrupted itself. I was about to RMA the board, but thought I d start messing with the RAM. Removed one 2GB stick, left the other, and symptoms persisted. Removed the 2nd stick, and no/bad RAM beeps as expected after resetting CMOS jumper. Replaced the 1st stick into the 2nd s slot, and it works after another CMOS reset. Placed the 2nd stick back in, and it still works. So, I guess the RAM just needed re-socketed both RAM and board are brand new, and I paid attention to the clips clicking fully in every time. I ve never had RAM corrupt the BIOS before though, so that was extremely odd. But, problem solved and memtest passed.
2nd issue is the system I was building didn t have a DVD drive, but all I had was a Win7 DVD. So, I had to move Win7 installation files onto the USB stick. Nothing I haven t done before. But, I had one hell of a time trying to get the motherboard to boot off the USB stick. It would see the stick, and the stick was set up properly though by the end I was trying several different things, but it would just give me a blank cursor whenever I tried to boot off the USB. After getting frustrated after several attempts, and running out of time, I started trying different fixes at the same time - different USB stick, different installation files, different USB port, different file systems At one point it started working and everything else was happy from there.
---I just now tried the other USB stick, original USB port, etc. and of course now it s working for every combination. The heck.. This motherboard, or SOMETHING with this system, seems to be fighting me every step of the way. And of all my battles including ones I haven t written here involving drivers, I can t justify putting my finger on the motherboard for any of them. I think it s trolling me, but I can t prove it.

Hey,
I brought a cheap NIC from my favorite PC store in the uk, and downloaded the latest drivers from my favorite download website, softpedia.
I installed XP on the machine and as usual it reported it found a new device when I slotted the card into a PCI slot. I put the drivers in a nice folder on the C drive and directed the Found new hardware wizard to the folder. It reports it could not find any drivers to install.
I really need to install this NIC s drivers in order to connect to my other PC to connect to the internet, via a crossover cable.

Are you directing it to the. inf file inside the second folder.
Are you sure the wizard is installing the NIC and not some other PCI device, like sound.
Try updating through Device Manager and making the manual choices until you can direct it to that folder.
Download the driver from here.
It s in a ZIP file, so save it to a folder on your desktop.
Extract it into that folder.
Open the new folder that s created.
Double-click the Setup.exe file to install it.
Restart afterwards.

I downloaded the driver and extracted it on the desktop of the computer I needed to install the NIC on. I did do all the manual choices in Device Manager and directed it to the folder where the drivers resided. It failed, as usual :S
I will try that right now and see how it goes, thanks. I will reply soon reporting if it worked or not.
If you guys would like a screenshot to see what is happening or maybe a video just ask.
If the driver file installed, uninstall it in Add Or Remove Programs.
That apparently is not a Realtek RTL8139/810x Family NIC.

I looked at the computer summary part and all it says is:

The same way as any driver. Right-click your card in Device Manager, choose Update, follow all the manual choices until it says Have Disk. Direct it to the folder for your OS and the. inf file inside.
We need the model of your card, not the manufacturer. Look in the other sections of PCWizard.
